In order to celebrate Contemporary Indian Literature, Cherry Book Awards initiated an event to choose and honour the Modern Literary Stars Of India, 2022. As a part of this initiative, the following authors were selected:

  • Dr. Romila Chitturi
  • Twisha Ray
  • Aurora Bluemoon

Through their passion, dedication, hard work, and impactful writings, they have won over the hearts of the readers.

DR. ROMILA CHITTURI

Dr. Romila Chitturi considers her work unique and worth the recognition because her perspective towards anything she does – creatively, allows her to be something different and come with organic ideas that fits with her style and seamlessly gets along with the readers/viewers. “It takes you to the city, sea, roads, to the heart of all the matters which you can see, feel and belong to. It is my menagerie of craft. I take care of elemental details and their simple arrangement which leaves a new resonance or spark in everyone’s mind,” she says.

Today she wears many hats : Writer-Blogger- Reader -Poetess -Author- Book reviewer – Editor- Columnist – Entrepreneur- Program Head- Teacher- Masterclass Guru- Film Producer- Guest Speaker – Voice Over Artist – Creative Director. She is a published author of 18 books and co-author of 48 anthologies. I edited, conceptualized and compiled 11 books. “I never thought I would write books of my own, but I did and call it purely destiny. I write to enjoy the little things in life, for one day I will look back and realise they were big things. I write to be alive. It draws me into the moment. Writing helps me to make art out of everyday, ordinary moments. I write because I can, and because I love to write, and to see my words being read by the world makes my life WOW!”, she says.

TWISHA RAY

Twisha Ray is the author behind @walkinadda. She is a computer science engineer  ,designer, red volunteer poet , book reviewer, and society author, author of a few books about  society, popular power, uprisings, art, environment, place, pleasure, politics, hope, and hurdles of life.

Her work across multiple disciplines broadly addresses narratives of human experience.

Her cr dadu, parents are always enthusiastic whatever she loves to do for society.

AURORA BLUEMOON

Aurora Bluemoon is a pen name inspired by the magnificence of the southern lights, Aurora Australis, and the 13th full moon of the phrase “Once in a Blue Moon,” where all miracles happen, signifying the rarity of the natural phenomena.

In real life, she plays her role as an entrepreneur with a master’s degree in English literature. As an innovative writer, her vivid thoughts of fantasy led her to the writers’ world by the year 2021.

“I’ve strategized my unique way of captivating readers in the fantasy world that I’ve created. I’ve contributed my works to various literary genres like poetry, short stories, book reviews, articles, and novels,” she says.

Aurora Bluemoon has authored a few fantasy e-novels, which are available in thirty e-novel reading apps in the Google Play Store. The titles of her books are,

  • Icicles of Golden Blood is about the love story of a hybrid dragon wizard and a human girl.
  • Lycan’s Hidden Love blends the love story of Lycan and his human mate with a little experiment in nanoscience.
  • Jingles Bells portrays the life of a girl who suffers from psychosis.
  • Hexa: Merchant of Demise reveals the eternal love of the ghost and his rebirth lover.

She has broadened her horizons by co-authoring 25 anthologies and traditionally publishing two novellas, which are available on Amazon, Kindle, and Google Books, namely,

  • Frozen Bytes, a collection of 31 poems focusing on all aspects of life, is published by The Little Booktique Hub.
  • A Journey to Octavian Helixes, the story of a teenage girl who accidentally journeyed to another galaxy, was published by True Dreamster Publications.

Bluemoon won a writing contest hosted by Flairs and Glairs publication as well as a Special Mention award in an Am Power writing contest. The Unicorn Literary Awards acknowledged her Poet of the Year with a Special Mention title, and she won a Special Mention in the Unicorn Writing Fest.

“I am grateful to Unicorn Magazine for awarding me a series of Winner titles for various categories such as the Navratri contest, the Breast Cancer Awareness contest, and the Microtale contests. It is a privilege for me to have won the Cherry Book Awards’ “Ultimate Battle of Words.” Unicorn Magazine has invited me to be the honoree in an Instagram live session,” she says.
